For adult children of emotionally immature parents

Stop dreading conversations with your parents.

You read the book. You understand the pattern. But when they call, you still fall into the same role. Everheld helps you prepare, respond, and reflect — so the next conversation is easier than the last.

YOUR BOUNDARY

“I’d like to stop discussing my dating life.”

Try saying it like this

Calm

I know you're asking because you care, but I'd rather keep my dating life private.

Firm

I've already said I don't want to discuss this.

The problem

You already know the pattern. So why is it still so hard?

You know the guilt trip intellectually.

But when your mom starts one, your body reacts before your brain catches up.

You've read the boundary scripts.

But in the moment, you over-explain instead of holding the line.

You know your dad is emotionally immature.

But you still leave every conversation wondering if you're the problem.

You've done the work.

But the work doesn't show up when you actually need it — at 8pm on a Sunday when your parent calls.

Understanding the pattern isn’t enough. You need something that shows up in the moment.

What Everheld does

The book got you here. Everheld gets you through the conversation.

01

It remembers your family — not just the conversation.

After a few weeks of using Everheld, it knows your mom's patterns, your dad's triggers, and how you typically respond. It can tell you: 'This is the third time you've felt responsible for fixing the conversation after your mom criticized your decisions.' That kind of memory changes how you see the pattern — and how you break it.

What’s happening here?

One reading of the conversation — not a diagnosis.

WHAT WAS SAID

  • Marriage came up three times
  • "When will I get grandkids?"

WHAT YOU FELT

  • Guilt, then the need to defend
  • Quietly drained afterward

WHAT MIGHT BE ASSUMED

  • She may equate marriage with your happiness

You decide which parts fit.

02

It builds your boundaries — not just advice.

Tell Everheld the situation. It builds a boundary ladder: what to say first, what to say if they push, and what to say if they won't stop. You practice before the conversation. You walk in prepared, not hoping you'll figure it out.

Try saying it like this

Calm

Firm

I've already said I don't want to discuss this.

Warm

I appreciate that you care. I'd just prefer not to talk about relationships right now.

03

It prepares you before and reflects after.

Before the call: 'I have to talk to my dad tonight.' Everheld helps you prepare — what to expect, what to say, how to stay grounded. After the call: 'What happened?' Everheld helps you reflect — what pattern showed up, what you did differently, what to try next time. Every conversation becomes data. Every conversation makes the next one easier.

What happened?

Tell it in your own words. No notes, no judgment.

My mom keeps asking why I'm not married yet. I told her I don't want to talk about it, but she keeps bringing it up.

An honest question

Why not just talk to ChatGPT?

ChatGPT is genuinely good at listening. But it doesn’t remember your mom’s specific patterns. It doesn’t know this is the fifth time she’s guilt-tripped you this month. It doesn’t build a boundary ladder you can practice. It doesn’t prepare you before the call and debrief you after. Everheld does. That’s the difference.

How it works

A loop, not a one-time chat. Every conversation makes the next one easier.

Before

I have to talk to my dad tonight.

Tell Everheld what's coming. Get prepared: what to expect, what to say, how to stay grounded.

During

You have the conversation.

You're not alone in your head. You know what to say. You have your boundary ladder ready.

After

What just happened?

Tell Everheld what happened. It helps you reflect: what pattern showed up, what you did differently, what to try next time.

↻ Loop back to Before. Every conversation makes the next one easier.

FAQ

Questions

Is this therapy?+

No. Everheld is an educational and reflection tool based on the framework from the bestselling book on emotionally immature parents. It's not a replacement for therapy. If you're in crisis, call or text 988.

I already read the book. Do I need this?+

The book helped you understand the pattern. Everheld helps you apply it — in the moment, every time you talk to your parents. The book can't prepare you before a call or debrief you after.

What if my parent never changes?+

That's actually the point. Everheld isn't about changing your parent. It's about changing how you respond — so you stop falling into the same role regardless of what they do.

Is my data private?+

Your conversations and family patterns are encrypted and never shared. You can delete everything anytime.

How much will it cost?+

We're still finalizing pricing, but it will be less than a single therapy session and comparable to a monthly subscription. Join the waitlist and we'll share details before launch.

When does it launch?+
